Western Red Cedar
Western Red Cedar is a naturally decay-resistant wood. Straight and light in weight, nothing matches the performance of Western Red Cedar. Semi-transparent and solid color stains are an excellent finish. When painted, a good quality, fast drying, oil based primer should be used. Left unfinished cedar will silver and remain maintenance free. Shutters are mounted with historically correct operable hardware. This hardware is made from stainless steel with a matte black powder coated finish.
